I arrived here from Scotland almost twenty years ago and even now, can't believe how fortunate I am to live in such a wonderful part of the world! Walking our dog along the beach on a warm, sunny January morning, my husband and I still smile and remind ourselves of how good life here is, and how grateful we are to call this beautiful area of north county San Diego our home.
Now I get to help others achieve their home ownership dreams, whether they are first time buyers, or those looking to sell and move up the property ladder. I bring my knowledge of the real estate market and expertise navigating the complex area of contracts and laws, and strong negotiating skills to ensure my clients get the best possible deals and the smoothest possible transactions. I think that being a former educator helps me communicate the intricacies of the real estate process and I enjoy the huge sense of achievement experienced by helping bring my clients' dreams to life. I am thankful that very often my clients become good friends!
In my spare time I volunteer at Rancho Coastal Humane Society, a local animal shelter, as a foster 'parent' to dogs that need a home environment prior to being adopted. Some dogs are too young to be adopted, or they have medical conditions that need to be resolved, or just don't do well in a stressful shelter condition and it gives me great pleasure knowing I play a small part in helping them find forever homes. I confess, though, I am what is referred to as a 'Foster Fail,' having adopted one of our foster dogs, Gracie, a wonderful pup, after having her for five months. It was impossible to give her up!
I also enjoy walking with my husband, watercolor painting, calligraphy, cycling around this beautiful county of San Diego, and playing pickleball with friends.
My motto in life is "Do What Is Right, Not What Is Easy.' It's a simple motto and has served me well throughout all areas of life. My aim is to provide my clients with a service that exceeds their expectations, and to do so with a smile!
